Southern Cassowary

About the Southern Cassowary

A helmeted casque tops the head and a dagger-like inner claw can disembowel attackers. Often called the most dangerous bird in the world. Fathers raise the striped chicks alone for nine months. Crucial seed dispersers for hundreds of rainforest trees.
