About the Emu

The second tallest living bird after the ostrich, reaching 1.9 meters. Fathers incubate the dark green eggs for 56 days without eating. Pairs walk hundreds of kilometers following seasonal rains. Australia famously deployed machine guns against emus in 1932 and lost the Emu War.
