Great Tit

About the Great Tit

A bold garden bird with a glossy black head and breast stripe. The bigger the stripe, the more dominant the male. Sings a two-note song often rendered as teacher teacher. In hard winters even enters caves to eat hibernating bats, remarkable for an 18-gram bird.
