About the Gentoo Penguin
The fastest swimmer among penguins, reaching 36 km/h in bursts. A white stripe across the head looks like a bonnet. Nests are scrapes piled with pebbles, stones guarded jealously. Colonies of thousands crowd ice-free coasts.
