Wandering Albatross

About the Wandering Albatross

Holds the longest wingspan of any living bird, over 3.5 meters. Can glide thousands of kilometers between wingbeats using dynamic soaring. Pairs bond for decades and breed only every second year. Chicks take nine months to fledge, the longest of any bird. Longline fishing has slashed populations.
