About the Bar-headed Goose

Makes one of the highest animal migrations on Earth, crossing the Himalayas above 7,000 meters. Hemoglobin binds oxygen exceptionally well in thin air. Larger lungs and powerful flight muscles power the climb. Flies over passes where human climbers need supplemental oxygen.
